Skidplate (Lightweight) BMW F650GS (Dakar) / G650GS (Sertao)

IMPORTANT: This is the first batch (20 pieces) of this design. Fitment will be improved in the next iteration, based on the customer feedback. The price is quite low for this reason.

The lightweight skidplate or bashplate is made from 4mm thick Aluminium. It fits the BMW F650GS singles made between 2000-2007 and BMW G650GS 2010-2015 Sertao.

The specific alloy is EN AW 5754, which has great corrosion resistance, as it is often used in marine environments. I added radius in the corners to release stress from manufacturing.

The advantage of the lightweight version, is the additional airflow under the crankcase. Basically free engine cooling, so a great option if you ride a lot of hot dusty trails.

Unlike other brands, this design is has 5 mounting points in total, so you can be confident this skidplate can take a punch.

​​Stainless steel (3x) M6 mounting bolts and aluminium spacers are included. The (2x) M8 mounting bolts near the rearpegs are re-used.

A manual is supplied to assist during installation.
